This guide will show you where to find the various Semiconductors in the Dead Space Remake. The locations are structured according to the areas and based on Chapters!
This guide is for the Dead Space Remake, released in 2023!
We could always use a little more cash, especially when we can spend it on things we need to survive. Collecting semiconductors is important as it will help you purchase ammunition, health packs, and most importantly of all, power nodes.
Power nodes in particular are very useful as they are used to upgrade your weapons and equipment. Unfortunately, they cost 10,000 credits from the store kiosks. For power node locations that you don’t have to spend 10,000 credits to get, check out our Dead Space Power Node Locations Guide!
What are Semiconductors for in Dead Space
Semiconductors in Dead Space are valuable items that you can find in various places on board of the USG Ishimura. These items are not upgrades for your weapons or RIG, nor can you use them as weapons or ammo.
The only purpose of Semiconductors in Dead Space is to sell them at the Store kiosks for Credits. Your Inventory Space is limited, but not too limited. You can easily afford to hold on to the Semiconductors until you get to the next Store location. Or you can track back your steps and get to a Store you have already visited.
This is one of the many changes the developers made to the Dead Space Remake vs the Original game from 2008. The various areas and sections of the ship are now connected and you can freely return to a previously visited area.
How much are Semiconductors worth
There are four types of Semiconductors you’ll be able to find. Each one is worth quite a pretty penny but their value increases depending on what material they are made of.
- Bronze Semiconductors sell for 2,000 credits.
- Gold Semiconductors sell for 3,000 credits.
- Ruby Semiconductors sell for 10,000 credits.
- Diamond Semiconductors sell for 25,000 credits.
Do note that the rarer the material such as Ruby and Diamond, the harder these will be to find. Semiconductors are one of the best and easiest ways to earn Credits in Dead Space.
