1 Choose your best projects
The first step is to select the projects that you are most proud of and that demonstrate your range of abilities. You don't need to include every single website you have ever designed, but rather focus on the ones that are relevant, recent, and remarkable. Aim for quality over quantity, and make sure each project has a clear goal, a unique solution, and a positive outcome.

2 Create a case study for each project
A case study is a detailed description of how you approached, executed, and delivered a project. It should include the following elements: the client's brief, the problem or challenge, the research and analysis, the design process and iterations, the final result and feedback, and the key learnings and takeaways. A case study is a great way to showcase your problem-solving skills, your creative thinking, and your value proposition.

I’m think creating case studies is a bit overrated.Customers don’t have time to dig deep in your portfolio and read all your thoughts about a project.Show don’t tell.Do this instead: showcase a lot of work in the hero section of your front page. A horizontal slider is one way of doing this. You can add an ultra short description underneath each project and also provide a link to the live website when the visitor clicks on it.

For each project, provide a brief overview of the client, the problem, the solution, and the outcome.Highlight the goals, challenges, and results of your work, and explain your design process and decisions in a visual format.TIP: Don't just add screenshots use mockups to show your work in action.

3 Use a simple and responsive portfolio website
Your portfolio website is your online business card, so you want to make it as easy and pleasant as possible for potential clients to browse your work. Use a simple and clean layout that lets your projects shine, and make sure your website is responsive, meaning it adapts to different screen sizes and devices. You can use a platform like WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix to create your portfolio website, or you can code it yourself if you have the skills and time.

4 Add some personality and testimonials
Your portfolio website is also an opportunity to introduce yourself and your brand to potential clients. You can add some personality and flair to your website by writing a catchy headline, a compelling bio, and a clear call to action. You can also include some testimonials from your previous clients, highlighting their satisfaction and results. Testimonials are a powerful way to build trust and credibility, and to show that you can deliver on your promises.

5 Update and optimize your portfolio regularly
Your portfolio is not a static document, but a dynamic and evolving showcase of your work. You should update and optimize your portfolio regularly, adding new projects, removing outdated ones, and improving the design and performance of your website. You should also optimize your portfolio for search engines, using relevant keywords, titles, tags, and descriptions. This will help you rank higher on Google and attract more organic traffic and leads.
