Expedition Bigfoot: Season 4 | Rotten Tomatoes (2024)

Reviews 75% Audience Score Fewer than 50 Ratings Every year hundreds of eyewitnesses record alleged encounters with Bigfoot, a legendary cryptid described as being a large, hairy, bipedal apelike creature. More than a third of the sightings come from the Pacific Northwest. In Travel Channel's "Expedition Bigfoot," an elite team of researchers plugs the reported sightings into an advanced data algorithm to narrow its search for the elusive creature to an area in central Oregon. The eight-part series tracks the teams as it treks into the deep woods hoping to find evidence of the cryptid. "Travel Channel has assembled the very best team of experts in Bigfoot lore and science to give us proof of the creature's existence once and for all," said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. "The journey is formidable, and the jeopardy is real. Skeptics and believers alike will both agree the trek this team makes is something they have never seen before." Andy H In the last episode, there is a scene where Bryce and a specialist team have that awesome drone/plane thing up in the air and it has awesome camera angles, different camera views and options. However, when it hovers above Ronnie the view is in normal view and you can tell it's him.Now apparently over the other side of some trees near him, there is a figure standing in the middle of a clearing. The drone thing goes above it and, instead of looking at it in normal mode, they put it in infrared mode and you can't tell what it is!!! Normal view would have definitely showed us what we were looking at but for some very odd reason, they didn't 🙄Don't get me wrong, this show is awesome, keeps me on the edge for sure but it just disappoints when stuff like this is shown and we just can't believe it! I believe it should've been spread over a span of 1-3 more episodes. Episode 8 seemed pretty rushed compared for every other episode where they moved at a normal pace from other seasons. Expedition Bigfoot is definitely my favorite paranormal/bigfoot show to date and I'd hate to see it not renewed. I believe 10-14 episodes may suite the show better going forward to allow for a non rushed product at the end. I did enjoy the season as a whole and think the technology used was really better then anyone else I've ever seen hunt Bigfoot. I think the west coast is the best place to be going forward and I wouldn't mind another season in Washington state but I do think northwest Canada/Alaska wouldn't be the worst place to look either. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Linda H Season 4 Expedition Bigfoot was fascinating and well worth the wait. I was sad there were only 8 episodes and one complaint is it seems there were more commercials since previous seasons. My guess is the current economy of ever increasing prices caused the need for more ads. I missed Russ's camera guy! He was absent this year. The scenery is gorgeous and you can see that every year the quality of the camera work increases as well as the scientific equipment used. My overall frustration was a short 8 episodes as far as I can see and the production changed. The primary folks Mireya, Ronny, Russell and Bryce were all there thank goodness but things seemed slightly tense and generally less relaxed amongst them. Not sure what occurred but seemed something changed. I hope they come back and we don't have such a long wait for the next season like this year. Spoiler Alert: I think the creatures are very very smart and even though there seems to be so much evidence they exist, again they evade direct visualization somehow. I like hearing chatter between the creatures but howling back and forth between humans and Bigfoot seemed absent. Where did that go? I love the introduction of more high tech equipment so that was great. Russ's stealthy tracking is nothing short of amazing. They are all very talented and have unique styles and philosophies of what to do and why. I can't wait to see where they go next. Please come back! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review John B This show is so much better than Finding Bigfoot. The advantage of spending weeks instead a couple days makes big difference. Best evidence ever! Hope many more seasons. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review Vance F Episode 7 just got me hooked with the thermal shapes and handprint. I guess that it could be staged heat signature's but it would have to be someone from the crew/team because otherwise…they are in the middle of nowhere! Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/23 Full Review Jay R Ok, so they almost lost me last season when they caught very good thermal footage of a human-like shape leaning out from behind a tree. But upon seeing this footage, they decided to go to another location somewhere else in the U.S. instead of STAYING THERE AND INVESTIGATING. I rolled my eyes but gave the show another chance. But on this latest episode, Russel and his cameraman find an old hunting cabin and decide to bed down for the night when, of course, something loudly hits the window while there sleeping and all Russel can think to do is quickly pack up and run away from the cabin. What?! They are there to FIND BIGFOOT. Not run away when its supposedly right on the other side of the wall. And no, it wasn't because he feared for his safety - this season the crew is being escorted off camera by heavily armed security because of the high population of brown bears. So what now? He picks up the trail of the thing that was right next to him last night that he ran from?? Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
