Z 70-180 F2.8 vs FTZ + F 70-200 F2.8 VR II

1

Hello!
Does anybody switched from the old F mount VR II to the Z 70-180? How does the image quality, ergonomics and focus speed/reliability compares? How does the 70-180 performs in dark regarding the focus?
I would really like to have a lighter, more compact lens, but I do not want to step back in image quality/autofocus.

Thanks!

I switch to Z land 1.5yrs ago and had ftz with 70 200 2.8efl...speed wasn't bad and would AF on my Z6 no issues.. got tired of ftz setup ( longer and akward to hold) after 4 months and went straight to z 70 200 2.8 s and haven't looked back. Couldn't tell too much in IQ as both are still great lenses.

70 180 2.8 is even lighter and iq should be improved over 2.8 vrii and no focus breathing. AF with native glass is always better!

All of your questions can be answered on previous threads. I own the e-mount and z-mount version of this lens, and am considering the e-mount G2. I've been adapting it to my Z's with the ETZ21 and it did great on the Z8/Z9.
